For project 3, my partner and I redesigned the mobile
application. We focused on adding push notifications to the app.
A mental model is what we think is true based on our
previous experiences and knowledge. It is based on a general functionality and
understanding. A user’s mental model of this could be the user clicking an
on/off button to provide notifications.
The implementation model is based on the underlying,
programming details of an application. This means that the implementation model
of this would not focus on functionality or the user, but rather the code
within the settings that involve all of the types of notifications.
