The site I chose as an example of obvious design was the gmail inbox run by Google.

The top pane of the gmail inbox is designed to be incredibly user friendly through its arrangement of organizational tabs and the search bar. The layout of tabs divide mail into categories of primary, social, and promotions. Alongside the small icons on each tab is also the text, making it as easy as possible to quickly decipher where a user's mail is located. Also, the search bar above these tabs is an obvious design because it manages to contain a few search options while keeping the design clear. The user can either type their search request in the box or click the small arrow pointed down on the right corner of the box which drops down to reveal an advanced search form.
